Allen Shindler
Allen Shindler
is a native Houstonian, and is a graduate of the University of Texas. Allen has been active in real estate since 1981, having been a general contractor, developer, and real estate investor, an executive in the title and escrow business and served as Founding Chairman of the Board of Alliant National, a national title and insurance underwriting company. Allen and Jimmy McCartney of McCartney Properties, Inc. have worked together on commercial real estate investment opportunities for over 10 years including, apartments, retail centers, mini storage, mobile home communities, office warehouse, and vacant land.
In addition, Allen is the immediate past Board Chairman for The Texas Center for the missing, is a member of the River Oaks Country Club, Bluejack National, and The Ocean Club in the Bahamas.
Allen and his family are owners of the Star 5 Ranch in Gonzales County and raise Angus cattle.
Jim McCartney
Jim McCartney is a third generation Houstonian. He is a graduate of the University of Texas, with a degree in Economics and has been actively engaged in real estate brokerage, investment and development since 1986. He has been a Texas broker since 1991, and formed McCartney Properties in 1994. His real estate activities have emphasized mobile home parks, apartments, industrial, self-storage and similar facilities. His company is actively engaged in the acquisition, development and management of mobile home parks, retail properties, self-storage facilities, and apartments.
Active in Houston’s civic community, Mr. McCartney is a member of The Costero Club, River Oaks Country Club, and Eldorado Country Club. He currently serves on the Parents Council for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas and the Presidents Council. He is also the former Board Chair for the Nick Finnegan Counseling Center and still serves on its board.
